Corsair expands modular Frame 4000 case line-up

Corsair is making a significant expansion to its Frame 4000 chassis lineup, introducing the Frame 4000X RS and the Frame 4000D Wood RS, alongside a new web-based configurator tool.

Starting with the new cases, the two entries in this lineup cater to polar opposite design sensibilities. Available in black and white, the Frame 4000X RS is built for the RGB enthusiast, featuring a ventilated “RGB Flow” front panel embedded with 64 customisable LEDs. It comes out of the box with four RS120 fans, providing a light show that can be controlled via standard motherboard headers. On the other hand, the Frame 4000D Wood RS targets a sophisticated, organic look. Its front panel is crafted from a single piece of FSC-certified wood, available in black/walnut or white/oak. These front wood panels are designed specifically to maintain high airflow while allowing the PC to blend into modern home or office decor.

While the outside is about style, the inside is about flexibility. Both cases feature the Infinirail fan mounting system, an adjustable rail that lets you slide fans to target hotspots. The chassis supports a massive array of cooling hardware, with space for up to thirteen 120mm fans and the ability to mount dual 360mm radiators.

In addition to the two case models, Corsair also announced the Frame configurator. This real-time, 3D visualisation tool allows users to build their own chassis from the ground up or plan upgrades for an existing Frame 4000D. Giving users the power to customise the case to their liking and needs, they can opt for parts like the RapidRoute 2.0 motherboard tray, which features a “pegboard” design for added cable management flexibility, or a premium Elite tray forged from a single piece of diamond-cut aluminium.

For those looking to add a futuristic touch, Corsair also offers an LCD mounting kit designed for the Xeneon Edge 14.5-inch touchscreen. This allows the side panel to become a functional display for system monitoring or interactive controls. Other unique options include Pixel Glass front panels that create a stylised effect for RGB fans, and cold air intake kits that direct three additional 120mm fans directly onto the GPU.

The Corsair Frame 4000X RS is available for £151.60/$139.99/178.63, and the Frame 4000D Wood RS for £140.77/$129.99/€165.87.

KitGuru says: The modularity offered by the Frame 4000 series will certainly interest many.
