Sharkoon is expanding its case lineup with four new models, two ATX cases and two mATX cases. These are the AK2 and MK2, respectively, featuring a basic design to fulfil the essential component tier.
The Sharkoon AK2 RGB case offers a compelling blend of understated aesthetics and high-performance potential, making it a versatile choice for gaming, office, or entertainment builds. Its clean front panel design and tempered glass side panel provide a stylish backdrop for showcasing your components. Alternatively, the non-RGB model doesn't have the tempered glass side panel.
Out of the box, the AK2 cases include two pre-installed 120mm fans: one on the front panel and a PWM fan at the rear (RGB-illuminated on the RGB model). The case also boasts support for up to eleven fans, ensuring ample airflow for even the most demanding hardware. Water-cooling enthusiasts will also find plenty to like, with room for two radiators up to 360mm in size, which can be installed concurrently. Beyond its cooling prowess, the AK2 RGB offers impressive hardware compatibility. It supports not only standard Mini-ITX, micro-ATX, and ATX motherboards but also a wide range of BTF formats.
Connectivity is well-addressed with a TRRS and USB-C port located on the top panel, allowing for easy connection of various mobile devices and peripherals. An integrated controller manages up to four RGB LED components and four PWM fans, simplifying cable management and customisation. The AK2 RGB can accommodate big graphics cards up to 41 cm in length, with a rubber-coated support bracket provided for added stability. CPU coolers up to 17 cm tall and PSUs up to 23.5 cm long are also supported. Storage options include space for up to two 3.5-inch HDDs or four 2.5-inch SSDs.
The AK2 RGB's understated and elegant design makes it suitable for a variety of builds, from gaming rigs to professional workstations and multimedia centres. For those seeking a smaller footprint, the MK2 and MK2 RGB models offer micro-ATX versions of the AK2 and AK2 RGB, respectively, providing similar features in a more compact form factor.
