Xigmatek Dark Knight SD-1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler Review

Xigmatek have included a single 120mm fan, which is a transparent black/brown colour. They have fitted four white LED's around the outside to enhance the appearance when installed.

The heatsink has been coated with a ceramic surface, and is very striking in appearance. This is certainly an eye catching look, and we hope the performance is just as good.

The fins are made of an aluminium alloy and have been shaped to improve heat dissipation while lowering noise emissions.

Looking down the length of the Dark Knight we can see the v-shaped groove in the heatsink. The Xigmatek Dark Knight features 3x 8mm heatpipes, which are also coated in this Ceramic material.

The Ceramic Surface Coating has been called a ‘Stealth' Technology and essentially should improve interaction with the air, extracting more heat from the processor core. Additionally, the user can add a second 120mm fan to this heatsink to improve thermal performance.

The CPU block is primarily copper with a direct touch base.
