Nvidia RTX 4060 benchmark shows it outperforming the RTX 3060 by up to 17%

While originally planned to launch in July, the RTX 4060 will now be arriving before the end of June. Leaks have swiftly followed on, with the first benchmark results for the RTX 4060 starting to appear online, giving us an early idea of the gen-to-gen performance improvement.

As found by BenchLeaks, the first tests for the RTX 4060 are already underway, including compute tests using the OpenCL and Vulkan APIs. In these initial results, the GPU achieved a score of 105,630 points in the OpenCL test and 99,419 points in Vulkan. These results can be compared to popular mid-range GPUs such as the recently released RTX 4060 Ti and Radeon RX 7600.

Based on these scores, it can be observed that the RTX 4060 offers a performance increase of up to 17% over the RTX 3060 in the Vulkan test (84,966) and 10% in OpenCL (89,250). Additionally, the GPU is reported to be 4% (Vulkan) to 23% (OpenCL) faster than the Radeon RX 7600 featuring the Navi 33 GPU. It is important to note that Geekbench data may not always directly correspond to gaming workloads.

The RTX 4060 is equipped with the AD107 GPU, which features 3072 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory connected via a 128-bit interface. THe RTX 4060 will start at £289 in the UK, $299 in the US and €329 in Europe.
