Battlefield 6 open beta set new records

The Battlefield 6 open beta was a huge success across both of its weekends. DICE has had a week now to collect all of the stats and as predicted, this beta set new records for the franchise.

The Battlefield 6 open beta set a record high player count across all platforms, and beyond that, the open beta also set viewership records, with over 30 million hours streamed.

Over the two beta weekends, over 420 million matches were played, making up over 92 million hours' worth of gameplay. The change to traditional classes has also gone down well, with a very close to even split amongst all four. According to DICE, 32% of players went with Assault, 26% went with Support, 23% went with Engineer and 19% went with Recon.

Ahead of the launch on October 10th, DICE will now be making targeted adjustments to movement, weapons and maps to address player feedback.
