Battlefield V ‘Tides of War’ chapter 2 launches later this week

While previously Battlefield players have had to rely on a Premium Pass for future content, this time around DICE is doing things a bit differently. Instead of the season pass model, Battlefield V will be frequently updated throughout the year with new content. The first big update of 2019 is heading our way very soon, with the second chapter of ‘Tides of War' coming out this week.

On the 17th of January, Tides of War Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes, will be heading out as a free update to the game. This time around, vehicle warfare is the main focus, as you can see in the new trailer below:

The new Tides of War update will introduce new gear, weapons, vehicles and bring back the popular game mode ‘Rush'. We'll also be getting a new mode called Combined Arms, which is a co-op mode for up to 4 players.

This chapter of the Tides of War campaign will run through until March, at which point we'll start hearing about the next major update.

KitGuru Says: Battlefield V had plenty of pre-launch controversy dragging it down but I still find the game to be quite fun regardless. Are many of you still playing Battlefield V? How are you finding the updates so far?
