Call of Duty: MWII has so many PC options that Infinity Ward had to implement a search bar

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is coming out fairly soon and Infinity Ward just dropped the PC trailer for the game. We've already seen the PC system requirements, but now we know more about the PC-specific platform features, and honestly, the options menu might be a little too big. Currently, Infinity Ward is promising over 500 different customisation options in the menus.

We always like to praise having a vast amount of options to adjust graphics, performance and accessibility settings. With Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward has gone all out, providing over 500 customisable settings on PC. There are so many settings you can adjust that the team had to implement a search function for the options menu – which seems to be an industry-first.

All your basics are there, from resolution adjustment, different display modes, V-Sync options, custom frame limits, dynamic resolution settings, a multitude of audio settings and graphics quality toggles. If you need to find something quickly, there is now a search bar in the options menu, so you can quickly find the settings you are looking for.

Unfortunately, we won't see the full breadth of options until the game launches in a few weeks' time. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is launching for PC and consoles on the 28th of October, although pre-order customers will get early access to the campaign starting on the 20th of October. In November, Warzone 2.0 will also launch, bringing the popular Battle Royale mode back with a complete refresh.

KitGuru Says: As far as the Call of Duty teams go, Infinity Ward has always been my favourite. It is great to see such emphasis placed on the PC version too, especially for a game that has historically had most of its popularity on consoles.
