Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 trailer confirms major changes

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 was announced a while back with a very short teaser trailer. Now, we know much more about what to expect from the new game, including some very significant changes to gameplay and an all-new open world city for the player hub.

All of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games are set in the future, well beyond the timeline of the Dragon Ball Z manga and anime. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will take things a bit further with a highly futuristic version of West City, which will be the new player hub before going out on quests. You can get a look at the new city in the latest trailer for the game:

In West City, players will be able to meet up, or visit a number of different shops, talk to established Dragon Ball characters, train their skills and find new quests. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will expand the scope greatly in story missions too with larger arenas and multi-connected maps.

One big change here is to the combat. Ever since the Budokai days, fans have been used to charging up their Ki and then spending that Ki to spam their super abilities. In Xenoverse 3, supers will be cooldown-based instead. The game overall seems to have a bit more of an MMO feel compared to the previous entries.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is set to launch sometime in 2027 for PC, PS5 and Xbox.

KitGuru Says: As excited as I am for any Dragon Ball game, at this point what I'm really hoping for is a sequel to Kakarot, which in my opinion, is still the best Dragon Ball Z game you can buy.
