Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will get two story expansions

We've already seen a lot of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation at Summer Game Fest in June and Gamescom in August. Somehow, Square Enix had even more to show at State of Play this week, including confirmation of two story DLCs for the game.

Aside from a new look at gameplay – including our first look at the airship in action, Square Enix announced the various editions for the game. There will be a standard edition of the game, with a mecha chocobo summoning materia as a pre-order bonus. However, there will also be a Premium Edition, which comes with the Story Expansion Pass, which will contain two DLCs – one focused on Sephiroth and one focused on the Turks.

There is also a $100 ‘Premium Plus' edition, that charges extra for 24 hours of early access to the game, alongside some additional in-game cosmetics and a digital art book and sountrack.

The real story here though is confirmation of the two story expansions. The first, focused on Sephiroth, will be available in Winter 2027, while the second, Vincent & The Turks, will be available in Spring 2028.
