Game Freak teams up with Private Division for action-adventure game ‘Project Bloom’

Game Freak is primarily known for developing the Pokemon games but the studio does work on other projects regularly. In a surprise move, Game Freak has now signed an agreement with Take-Two's Private Division for the release of a new Action Adventure game.

Private Division will publish Game Freak's next game, the company has announced. The deal will see the Pokemon developer releasing a new action-adventure IP, developed under the codename Project Bloom.

Specific details are sparse at the moment, but we do have the above concept art, giving us a small look at what to expect. The art looks fantastic but it is worth noting that concept art does not always represent the final look or direction of a game.

In a statement, Game Freak director, Kota Furushima, noted that Private Division's “global expertise” will help. He also says that Private Division is a publisher that the studio has wanted to work with for a long time.

KitGuru Says: This game is still a long way from release, as Take-Two has it scheduled for an FY2026 launch. With that in mind, this is probably all the information we are going to get for the foreseeable future.
