GOG is getting DRM-free versions of Uncharted and God of War

A few years ago, Sony began supporting GOG with DRM-free versions of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition and Days Gone for PC. Now, more PlayStation Studios titles will be getting DRM-free releases.

Today GOG has announced that God of War and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available on its store. These versions will be free of any DRM, so you can download it directly and install it the old-fashioned way, or you could use the GOG Galaxy client.

Currently, GOG is holding a Halloween sale but you'll find more than horror games discounted. Currently, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition is 67% off, bringing the price down to £13.19, as is Days Gone. You'll find discounts on thousands of other games as well until the 1st of November, including Cyberpunk 2077.

If you'd like a free game, then currently GOG is giving away The Whisperer, a point & click game set in Canada during the beginning of the 19th century.

KitGuru Says: It is good to see more AAA games joining the GOG library. DRM-free releases are generally good all around. Consumers get to maintain access and the game can continue to be played without relying on authentication servers or online check-ins, which in turn supports game preservation.
