Monster Hunter Wilds players suffer PC performance issues at launch

While Monster Hunter Wilds has gotten off to a great start sales-wise, PC players are hammering the game in the Steam reviews section due to performance issues. Capcom has already responded to the complaints, promising improvements.

Right now, there is a large disparity between performance players had during the Monster Hunter Wilds beta and the day-one release version on PC. Unfortunately, Capcom doesn't have a lot of ‘good' suggestions for improving performance right now, outside of updating your graphics drivers, turning off compatibility mode and adjusting your in-game quality settings.

If issues persist after that, then Capcom requests that people head to the Troubleshooting & issue reporting thread on the Steam Community forum. It is unclear exactly what is causing Monster Hunter Wild's performance problems right now and the situation is quite surprising, as previous RE Engine titles have all ran fairly well on a wide range of hardware.
