Resonance: A Plague Tale has leaked, giving pirates early access to PC version

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is still a week away from release, but the PC version has already leaked online. A full build of the game is now circulating on piracy sites, meaning major story spoilers are spreading rapidly across the internet.

The leak was confirmed by users on the A Plague Tale subreddit, where players have warned others to avoid searching for the game until launch. Those with access to the leaked build appear able to play through the entire story, making it easy for spoilers to surface without warning.

This is the latest in a growing trend of PC versions leaking ahead of release. Earlier this year, Death Stranding 2 suffered a similar situation, with pirates gaining access to the full game before legitimate buyers of the game. With Resonance now in the same position, fans hoping to experience the story fresh should be cautious about browsing discussions, YouTube recommendations or social feeds over the next several days.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a prequel set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem. Players take on the role of Sophia, a young plunderer determined to uncover the secrets of her past. Her journey leads to the Minotaur’s Island, where she faces deadly trials, navigates treacherous terrain, solves puzzles and fights to stay ahead of the army pursuing her. Combat is more agile and melee‑focused, with parries, counters and quick strikes forming the core of the action.

The game features a dual‑timeline structure, shifting between Sophia’s Middle Age setting and ancient Minoan times, where echoes of the past influence present‑day battles.

KitGuru Says: With a full PC build now out in the wild, spoilers will be unavoidable unless you actively steer clear of discussions and search results. If you’re planning to play Resonance at launch, it’s best to avoid looking up anything related to the game until release day.
