State of Decay 3 is already getting its first beta test

Undead Labs finally began showing off State of Decay 3 just a few months ago. Now, players will soon get to try the game out for themselves, with beta plans being officially confirmed.

Undead Labs shared its plans for beta testing State of Decay 3 in their official Discord server, confirming that the beta will be coming to PC first, but there are plans for Xbox and PS5 beta tests later on.

Right now, Undead Labs is putting the finishing touches on the PC beta build. According to Insider Gaming, that means we could have an exact date for beta access within the coming days. However, this is not an open beta, so you will need to sign up through the State of Decay website in order to have a chance of being invited.

State of Decay 3 will eventually release in 2027 for PC, PS5 and Xbox consoles. Despite Undead Labs splitting off from Microsoft and finding a new publisher for State of Decay 3, the game will still be a day-one Game Pass title.

KitGuru Says: The wait for State of Decay 3 has been a long one, but the game appears to be in a good place right now, with multiple public playtests happening in quick succession.
