Super Mario RPG remake comes to Nintendo Switch this year

We've heard rumblings that new Mario games will be announced for this year. During today's Nintendo Direct, we weren't let down on that front, with Nintendo announcing the new Super Mario RPG.

Super Mario RPG is a modern remake of the original SNES game, offering entirely new visuals. You can get a peek at the new-look Mario RPG in the trailer below:

Super Mario RPG will be launching for Nintendo Switch on the 17th of November.

The original Super Mario RPG is a beloved classic from the 90's and the remake looks to be a faithful adaptation. The trailer shows some returning original characters, alongside the stars of the show in Mario, Peach and Bowser. Pre-orders for the remake go live today.

In 2024, Nintendo will have more Mario games on the way, including a brand new Princess Peach game and a remaster of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, both for Nintendo Switch.
