The Witcher 3 Remastered will support Xbox Play Anywhere

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will support Xbox Play Anywhere, giving players access to both the Xbox and PC versions of the game with a single purchase and shared progression.

The remaster is being granted free to anyone who owns a digital copy of The Witcher 3 on Xbox, PlayStation, PC or Switch 2. For Xbox users, that means the game will automatically appear in the Xbox PC app as well. Likewise, anyone who owns the PC version through the Xbox app will also gain access to the digital Xbox console version. Save files will sync between both platforms, allowing players to move between PC and console without losing progress.

The Witcher 3 Remastered is already a substantial upgrade, going far beyond the “next‑gen” patch released a few years ago. Alongside path tracing, updated animations, improved traversal and a broad visual overhaul, the remaster also includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, even for players who never purchased the expansions for the original release.

Once the remaster launches later this month, CD Projekt Red is expected to shift focus back to the next major addition to the game: Songs of the Past, a new expansion arriving in 2027. The DLC will introduce a brand‑new region and a fresh questline expanding on the story between Geralt and Dandelion.
