Thermal Grizzly launches affordable Mycro Pro CPU blocks for AMD and Intel

Thermal Grizzly is expanding its liquid cooling line‑up again, this time with two new CPU water blocks. The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel series is now available for both AMD AM4/AM5 and Intel LGA1700/1851/1954 sockets, offering a more affordable option thanks to an unplated copper cold plate and simplified construction.

The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel blocks use an unplated copper cold plate paired with a stainless steel housing and an anodized aluminium mounting frame. By removing the nickel‑plating step, Thermal Grizzly says the cooler can deliver direct heat transfer from the CPU’s heatspreader to the coolant while also reducing manufacturing costs. As a result, the Mycro Pro Stainless Steel aims to offer a stronger price‑to‑performance ratio compared to nickel‑plated alternatives.

Both versions feature Thermal Grizzly’s Ultra‑High‑Performance cold plate design, with 0.2mm slot and fin widths. The AMD model includes 68 microfins, while the Intel version uses 70 microfins, increasing surface area for more efficient heat dissipation. The blocks use standard G1/4‑inch ports integrated directly into the stainless steel housing, with EPDM O‑rings for sealing. As the cold plate is bare copper, users should expect natural discoloration over time due to oxidation.

The Mycro Pro Stainless Steel series supports AMD AM4/AM5 and Intel LGA1700/1851/1954, but neither model is intended for direct‑die cooling. Both blocks are available now for €99.90.
