Exoprimal update to improve cross-play, custom matches and more

Exoprimal is one of Capcom’s weirder franchises, with the dino mech shooter offering a fast-paced co-op environment in which players must work together to take down an onslaught of highly aggressive dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the game suffered from some inconveniences at launch – including the inability to party up with friends on different systems. This (and more) will be fixed later in April.

Discussing the upcoming 17th of April update, the Exoprimal team revealed that the patch will “allow you to team-up and play with exofighters from any platform via the use of a lobby code! Cooperate or compete, the choice will be yours.”

Additionally, when custom matches do arrive, “any slots not filled by players will be filled by Leviathan approved AI exofighters instead! This includes story progress, Dino Survival, PvE and PvP matches” – a welcome addition indeed.

While both of these features arguably should have been available at launch, it is encouraging nonetheless to see Capcom continuing to work on Exoprimal.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the upcoming update? How much time have you put into Exoprimal? Are you surprised by the level of support the game has received from Capcom? Let us know down below.
