Free Hi-Fi Rush Arcade Challenge update available now

Last month during Microsoft’s extended Xbox showcase, the console manufacturer announced a major free update coming to the rhythm-based action-platformer Hi-Fi RUSH. Dubbed the Arcade Challenge Update, multiple new game modes are now available to experience – all for the price of free.

While the update includes a bunch of small improvements and refinements, the biggest inclusion is the addition of two new game modes: ‘BMP RUSH!’ and ‘Power Up! Tower Up!’

BMP RUSH! requires players to “take on endless enemies to build up your BPM gauge. Max it out to start a battle against special targets! Win and things start speeding up.”

Power Up! Tower Up! meanwhile sees MC Chai being “downgraded and starts in a bad state…but you can upgrade him to bring him back!” with players being able to “select from random rewards to level up Chair between random enemy sets with some twists thrown in as well!”

Available right now, players can enjoy the Arcade Challenge Update, both for its major new modes, but also for the added moves, photo mode stickers and more. The full patch notes can be found HERE.
