Nixxes hints at more PlayStation Studios remasters

Since it was acquired by PlayStation in 2021, Nixxes has served as one of the main porting houses for Sony's PC endeavours. Following the announcement of their most recent project – the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster – Nixxes appears to have teased that further similar remasters are in the works.

As discovered by ResetEra user ‘Red Kong XIX’ one developer at Nixxes seems to have let slip some of the console manufacturer's future plans, saying via LinkedIn in regards to the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster:

“After five PlayStation PC ports, the first big PlayStation content project from Nixxes Software is coming up! This remaster for PS5 and PC involves a lot of hard work from both our tech and art teams. It's amazing to see how this project has progressed and I can't wait to share more details from the team in the weeks coming up to launch!”

The dev’s specific use of the term “PlayStation content project” especially directly following their acknowledgement of Nixxes previous ports seems to suggest that the team are working on more of these enhanced releases.

With rumours of a Days Gone remaster in the works, perhaps it’ll mark the second of these PlayStation content projects?. We will have to wait and see.
