Resident Evil 4 Remake heads to iPhone next month

Capcom is at the forefront of Apple's renewed gaming efforts. We've already seen Resident Evil Village running on an iPhone 15 Pro and next month, Resident Evil 4 Remake will be joining a growing list of AAA games on iOS devices.

For now, games like Resident Evil Village and RE4 Remake are only compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro models, as well as iPads and Macs using M-series processors. However, over time, the number of supported devices will grow as technology matures and features once reserved for the high-end come to mid-range or entry-level devices.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will release for Macs and iOS on the 20th of December. If we go by Resident Evil Village, fans can expect an initial free download, with the option to purchase the full game after trying it for a certain amount of time. While Resident Evil 4 Remake will be roughly 9 months old when it comes to the App Store, it will still be a full-priced release, as you would expect from any new console-quality or PC game.

This version of the game will have configurable graphics options, so you'll be free to balance quality and performance to your liking, just as you would on a PC.

KitGuru Says: I'm very interested in seeing if more AAA games head to iPhones and iPads after this current wave of titles. It will also be interesting to see if mobile gamers are up for paying full-price for games, as the mobile market has typically trended towards free to play experiences.
