How does an overpriced Aston Martin smartphone sound?

There have been more than enough fashion over feature phones over the years and here's is another device to add to that list. Aston Martin has announced their own premium, yet low-end in terms of specifications Android smartphone.

With a asking price ranging from $1290 up to $1590 for models including actual 24 carat gold or rose gold rear covers, the phone disappoints hugely on the specifications side. The Aspire smartphone has just a 800 MHz processor, 256 MB of RAM and a 3.2 inch HVGA (480×320) display.  To round this up it runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a version of Android well over a year old.

While KitGuru has not given the Aspire the hands-on treatment, we highly advise any potential purchasers to buy two proper flagship devices such as Samsung's Galaxy S III or iPhone 5 instead.

KitGuru says: The Aston Martin Aspire is not even remotely close to the Aston Martin DBS V12.
