Samsung’s 11.8 inch 2560×1600 tablet revealed in court documents

Following the leak of two Windows Phone 8 devices just yesterday, Samsung's plans for a 11.8 inch tablet have also been revealed as part of their court case against Apple. There have been rumours of a 11.8 inch tablet from Samsung for many months now but this is the first time we have seen anything based on more than mere rumours.

This tablet has been referred to internally as ‘P10' and will have an 11.8 inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) display. This results in a PPI of 256 and will put it into the “retina” class of displays. There is also a reference to LTE connectivity on the slide, but nothing more than this.

However, this document was first created last year so it is entirely possible that their plans could have changed. The $199 dollar Nexus 7 has undoubtedly changed the landscape of Android tablets so it is possible plans for this specific tablet have been dropped or modified in some way.

No matter what Samsung has decided, they have scheduled a press event for the 15th of August where we will or perhaps won't see this Samsung ‘P10' tablet.

KitGuru says: While I find 11.8 inches a bit on the large side for a tablet, there are bound to be those that would love the extra productivity potential.
