Dell unveils new range of XPS laptops powered by Intel Core Ultra and RTX graphics

CES is set to kick off shortly and Dell is eager to get its new product announcements rolling. Ahead of the event, Dell has announced its new range of XPS laptops, designed with minimalist principles while trying to maximise performance.

The InfinityEdge display on the new XPS laptops immediately stands out and will be available in an OLED Touch option too. Each of the new 2024 XPS laptops ships with an InfinityEdge display with variable refresh rate support, high-resolution options and support for features like Dolby Vision. On the audio side, Dell has opted for a quad-speaker design with Dolby Atmos support. Above the display, you'll find a Full HD webcam for clear images during video calls.

Under the hood, Dell is using Intel's new Core Ultra processors, which also support AI acceleration. As a result, these laptops will be positioned as productivity and creativity enhancers with the ability to leverage generative AI tools outside of the cloud. All the new XPS laptops will also ship with Windows 11 as well as an enhanced battery with ExpressCharge tech, allowing the laptop to charge up to 80 percent in one hour.

The XPS 16 will be the flagship, offering up to RTX 4070 graphics for the GPU. The smaller XPS 14 will be limited to an RTX 4050 at best and it seems that the XPS 13 will rely on integrated graphics.

The new Dell XPS range will be available soon, starting in the US at $1,299 for the XPS 13, $1699 for the XPS 14 and $1899 for the XPS 16.
