LoL celebrates Halloween with The Harrowing

To celebrate this festively horrifying season, League of Legends is joining in with its own “Harrowing,” update. This brings about new skins for champions, new wards and the potential to earn yourself some unique summoner icons too.

New champion skins available, including a Haunted Zyra and Officer Vi, but they'll be on sale at a reduced cost (for now) right alongside the legacy Harrowing skins from years gone by. Check out the FAQ to see if your favourite champ has a custom, Halloween version.

Like the Christmas period, Horror themed wards are available, with the following options:

  • Tomb Angel
  • Deadfall
  • Haunting
  • Bat-o-Lantern
  • Widow

Finally, there are some unique summoner icons to unlock, though you'll nee to complete some Harrowing achievements in order to get them. Using a special ward skin, or buying a piece of Harrowing content unlocks a couple, but to get the grand master Morellonomicon (Klatu, Verata, Nick *cough*), you'll need to earn all other rewards before the end of the Harrowing.

Kitguru Says: I've been out of League for a few months now, but all these pre-season changes and the new Team Builder might tempt me back. Would any of you guys be interested in having a game with KG staff?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
