GAME teams up with Hideo Kojima for new Metal Gear launch

While we might be mourning the loss of some HMV outlets this morning, previously administered firm GAME, seems to be doing a big better. Today it has announced a partnership with gaming royalty, Hideo Kojima, for the launch of the new Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance.

As part of this team up, Kojima will be taking part in a QnA at the Westfield White city shopping centre, London. Questions will be sourced from fans via GAME's twitter, so hit that up if you've ever wondered how many “A's” were in Colonel Campbell's famous “Snaaaaake?!” line. According to the release, you'll need to end all your questions with the hashtag, “#GAMEAsksKojima.”

However he won't be the only one answering your questions. Konami lead artists Yoji Shinkawa will also be present, and together the pair will give the first 200 people in line their game – though you still have to have pre-ordered it. At that point if fans want it, they can have a picture with them.

But when will this take place I hear you cry? Why the 22nd of February of course.

Dave Howard, Stores Director at GAME said: “We are over the moon that Hideo Kojima and Yuji Shinkawa are joining us for the launch of Revengeance at GAME, White City. They are legends in the gaming world and it’s going to be an unbelievable night for the gaming community. Mr. Kojima and Mr. Shinkawa have been the driving force behind some of the most high-calibre and forward-thinking games to grace our screens and it will be a real privilege seeing them up-close and personal, answering our community’s questions. It’s all set to be an unforgettable experience for our Metal Gear fans and one which is not to be missed!”
Gamers that pre-order before this show and show up on the night, will receive a Steelbook cover for Revengeance, with an illustration by Shinkawa himself. You'll also get yourself a code for an in-game bonus, Raiden's Inferno Armour.
KitGuru Says: The only Metal Gear I ever played through was number two. While it was good I was never a big fan of the series. What about you guys, will you go to this event dressed in your favourite cardboard box?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
