ASUS set to announce Padfone 2 next month

ASUS' Padfone has not been the smashing success that they might have hoped for. Reviews of the device weren't overly positive but regardless ASUS sees enough potential in such a device to announce a successor.

On October 16 ASUS will unveil the Padfone 2 in Milan and also Taipei. Not much is known about the device at the moment but it is rumoured to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. Just like the original it will more than likely feature the phone-tablet-laptop combination that was sketchy, so hopefully ASUS has improved this process.

KitGuru says: We'd have to agree with ASUS in the fact we see great potential for an all-in-one device.
