Grand Theft Auto 5: to be biggest in series

Kitguru Gaming has been releasing information on the upcoming GTA5 as we get it, but the announcement yesterday points out that fans are in for a treat. The game, which is now penciled in to arrive next Spring is said to be groundbreaking.

Rockstar issued an announcement yesterday saying that GTA5 will be “the largest and most ambitious title in the series to date.” It will be released initially on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 with a PC version following some time later.

Rockstar have been teasing their fan base by releasing little tidbits of information on a fairly regular basis. They said that the game will take place in a re-imagined Southern California and it will be offer “the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond — from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.” [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkkoHAzjnUs']

They added that it will be “a world of unprecedented scale and detail bursting with life.” The fan boys are already salivating at the thought of a new huge virtual environment for the upcoming game.

Rockstar founder Sam Houser said “Grand Theft Auto V' builds on everything we've learned about open-world game design. We can't wait to share it with fans.”

Rockstar will begin to take preorders For GTA5 on November 5th.
