HTC profit hit hard by competition

HTC, one of the worlds most recognisable smartphone makers has reported a staggering 70 percent drop in first quarter profit margins.

HTC are facing stiff competition in the market by companies such as Samsung and Apple and revenue is also reported to be down 35 percent from a year previous.

HTC are pinning their future on the marketing and sales of the HTC One series phone which receives a camera upgrade and new music interface.
