Diablo, UFC Sports 5 and more come to Game Pass this month

Last week, leakers claimed that the original Diablo was set to make an appearance on Xbox Game Pass in the not-too-distant-future. With January 2025 officially underway, Microsoft has now detailed its upcoming Game Pass line-up for the month – including the aforementioned Diablo – though only for PC/Ultimate members.

Making the announcement on the Xbox Wire Blog, Megan Spurr – the Senior Community Lead for Xbox Game Pass said “Welcome to our first ‘Coming Soon’ announcement for 2025! And special welcome to all you new friends that picked up gaming hardware the last few weeks. Let’s get you prepped for what to install or play next. To the games!”

With that, the full list of titles dropping onto Game Pass over the course of the next week or so includes the following:

Available now:

  • Road 96 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Lightyear Frontier [Game Preview] (Xbox Series X|S)
  • My Time at Sandrock (Console)
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders (Xbox Series X|S)
  • Rolling Hills (Console)

Is it worth noting that Road 96 is a returning game following its removal back in June 2023, while the other titles listed above are already available through Game Pass – albeit were limited to the Ultimate/PC tiers.

Game Pass Diablo

In terms of proper new additions, Game Pass members can look forward to two titles arriving on the 14th:

  • EA Sports UFC 5 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – GP Ultimate
  • Diablo 1 – GP Ultimate

Last but certainly not least, half a dozen games will be leaving Game Pass on the 15th of January:

  • Common’Hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

While certainly a relatively weak line-up (especially for Ultimate members), Game Pass will see another round of additions sometime during the second half of January – which will hopefully make up for all of the games leaving.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
