The Galaxy Nexus is available again, at least until July 12

An United States appeal court has temporarily lifted the ban on the sale of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone. This follows an preliminary sales injunction, an appeal from Samsung and the court initially denying a stay on the injunction.

This means that the stock Android device is again available through the Play Store for $349, at least until July 12th. This is because the stay on the injunction is only in place while the court considers Apple's arguments and awaits Apple's response.

The phone won't ship for another week or two but this is likely due to Samsung and Google issuing a software update to circumnavigate around the patent infringements and updating the handsets to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Existing owners of the Galaxy Nexus should start to see the official OTA update soon as well.
