Gears Of War 3 to be showcased at gaming event

The Raleigh Convention Center is a match up of professional video gamers, set for this coming weekend. News has broken which claims that Epic Games are ready to showcase Gears Of War 3 to the audience.

Two teams of professional gamers are going to be playing four people from Epic's development group this Friday in the Major League Gaming Pro Circuit Competition. Over one thousand professional gamers are expected to make the event, to compete for prizes which total around $120,000.

The gaming competitions will be shown on giant video screens, sourced from the three stages at the event. The event is going to be streamed live online and people who want to attend will have to pay $25 for entry.

Gears of War 3 has gone gold, according to Epic Games Executive Producer Rod Ferguson. The staff were apparently that excited that they announced the status then they all got stuck into some cake, which was cut by a Gold Retro Lancer. Microsoft sponsored the cake.
