Black Myth Wukong gets new challenge modes, an in-game map, and new armor

Black Myth Wukong has just received a massive update, introducing new challenges, in-game maps named Journeyer's Charts, Chinese New Year-themed armour pieces and many other improvements.

Developer Game Science has delivered on its promise to surprise us before the end of the year, adding a variety of new content to keep players engaged. The highlight of this update is the introduction of Keeper's Shrine challenges, which are unlocked after completing the main story. These challenges come in two modes: Return of Rivals, which is pretty much a boss rush mode, and Gauntlet of Legends, where you face a series of encounters against familiar foes, some with new tricks up their sleeves.

The update also introduces Journeyer's Charts, which are pretty much in-game maps to provide guidance and mark points of interest. These maps become available after meeting the Keeper in Black Wind Mountain, with additional charts unlockable at shrines throughout the game world. Moreover, to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Game Science has added four new armour pieces to the game that can be claimed as the “Trailblazer's Gift” at any Keeper's Shrine.

The update also includes many bug fixes, performance improvements, and gameplay tweaks. Various localisation issues have also been addressed, boss encounters refined, and the soundtrack expanded with the “Black Myth: Wukong Soundtrack Selection.”

This update is currently available for those who bought it at the Epic Games Store. Those who bought it on other platforms are expected to receive it soon. For a detailed breakdown of all the changes and improvements, head over to Game Science's website for the full patch notes.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
