Indiana Jones and the Great Circle won’t include path-tracing for Advanced Access players

In recent times, more and more publishers have been offering advanced access to their games – allowing those who pay extra to play the game a few days early. Just as we saw with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, launching early can come with its own issues. In the case of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, those who coughed up the extra cash won’t benefit from any path-tracing features until the game launches for everyone.

Despite paying extra for Advanced Access (starting today), the premium edition of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle won’t be feature-complete until the game’s wide release 3 days from now.

As stated by Nvidia in their latest driver blog post, full ray tracing (aka path traced shadows, reflections, and global illumination) won’t be accessible to PC players until the 9th of December via an update.

Indiana Jones tracing

While certainly not as bad as Suicide Squad’s early access period literally not working, the fact that those who pay extra for advanced access to Indiana Jones will be getting an objectively inferior experience is confusing to see.

Hopefully this trend of ‘Advanced Access’ doesn’t last too much longer.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
