Kingston launch worlds fastest SDHC cards

Memory giant Kingston are releasing their newest SDHC cards, which are the highest speed class available on the market.

These new Secure Digital High Capacity cards – ‘(SDHC) UHS-I Ultimate XX' are built to high security standards and offering class leading speeds. Aimed at the professional photographer and video creation market they are not cheap but will be sure to find their way into the ‘wealthy amateur' market also. Sports Photography on high resolution SLR cameras would be an ideal platform for this lightning quick storage medium.

“Kingston is pleased to be one of the first manufacturers to offer SDHC UHS-I memory cards to our customers,” said Jim Selby, European product manager at Kingston Technology. “Being a member of the SD Association enhances our ability to bring new technology to market. As the devices that support SDHC UHS-I become prevalent; our UltimateXX cards are at the ready.”

The UltimateXX cards deliver up to 60MB/s read and 35MB/s write, making them three times as fast as SDHC Class 10 cards. They will be sold in sizes of 8GB (£81), 16GB (£163) and 32GB (£327).
