Apple are rumored to be starting a new campaign featuring unlocked iPhone 4's in the USA. The pricing is apparently going to be around the $649 mark for the 16GB model and $749 for the 32GB model.
Unlocked iPhone 4's have been available internationally now for some time, but it would be a new course of action for Apple in the US. It would prove popular as customers should switch between carriers, although transferring 3G data would not be an option on T-Mobile. The unlocked Phones are said to be the GSM models, with the Verizon phone remaining unchanged.
Apple have been reaping huge sales from the iPhone 4, boosted recently by the news of the white iPhone 4 launch. iPhone sales have grown 113 percent and have hit an all time record in the March quarter of 18.65 million sales. Tim Cook, Apple COO has said “iPhone sales are off the charts in the U.S”, with a phenomenal 155 percent growth this year.
