The Beatles sell 5 million songs and 1 million albums on iTunes

It took a long time to get The Beatles songs on iTunes, but boy was it worth the wait. Since their material arrived on the Apple store on November 16th 2010 sales have been incredible.

They sold two million songs and 450,000 albums in the first week alone, but latest reports from iTunes show that 5 million songs and 1 million albums have been sold in 3 months.

The top selling song was one penned by George Harrison “Here Comes The Sun” and the biggest selling album is ‘Abbey Road'. Considering this music was originally released over 40 years ago, it certainly appears that The Beatles are meeting a whole new digital friendly audience.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.

  2. @Roger
If you’d been following this, you will have heard that last year McCartney has decided to take a dive on all new Beatles profits he recieves. He’s quite sick of it.
