PlayStation State of Play showcase could be happening next week

It has been a couple of months since the last State of Play showcase took place. Apparently, there could be another one happening pretty soon.

Nate the Hate, who has been very active on the leaks recently and also had correct information about the previous State of Play in February, has said that they have heard that the next stream may be taking place on April 16th.

However, it also sounds like this information didn't come from their usual source, as they emphasised that the rumour is ‘unconfirmed'. If true, Sony is likely to officially announce the stream next Tuesday or Wednesday, giving fans the usual 24 to 48-hour notice period.

It is unclear what games will appear in this showcase and it may be third-party focus, with no first-party titles from studios like Naughty Dog or Insomniac. Sony is going to save its biggest announcements for June, as it does every year, alongside other console platform holders like Nintendo and Microsoft.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
