Horizon multiplayer spin-off coming 2025, job listing suggests

It looks like Guerrilla Games' next title could be just around the corner. The studio has been working on multiplayer concepts for the Horizon series since its inception, and now, the long-rumoured Horizon multiplayer game may finally release in 2025.

As spotted by JorRaptor, Guerrilla Games recently put up job listings seeking additional QA staff for an upcoming release. QA is the last step in game development, where testers root out bugs and flag them to be fixed ahead of release. These bugs are often ranked in order of severity, with the most game-breaking issues getting fixed ahead of other bugs that can be considered ‘minor'.

The job listing itself specifically calls for availability in the first half of 2025, which would indicate that Guerrilla Games is in the final stages of work on its next game.

While the Horizon multiplayer spin-off is not officially announced to be Guerrilla Games' next title, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier previously reported that this will be the next release from the studio, rather than a sequel to Horizon Forbidden West, which launched on PS5 in early 2022.

A gameplay leak earlier this year revealed what the Horizon multiplayer game may look like, but Sony has not yet officially announced the game. If it really is releasing in 2025, then we should get our first look within the next few months.

KitGuru Says: I'm not convinced that a Horizon multiplayer game is even a good idea, but I'll reserve judgement for the game's eventual reveal. Do you think the Horizon multiplayer spin-off will be a success?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
