Black Ops 6 gets Nuketown, season 1 details announced

Activision has officially announced its plans for the first Black Ops 6 season. The first Battle Pass, as well as the latest version of Warzone, will debut on the 14th of November. Seasonal updates will aim to offer a “colossal amount of free content”.

Season One will include new multiplayer maps and modes, as well as a new in-season zombies map. Warzone will be updated with a fresh map that borrows from a selection of current and classic maps, as well as the latest Black Ops 6 gameplay updates, like weapons and Omnimovement.

While we'll be waiting until November 14th for the big Season One update, Activision did deliver some new content for Black Ops 6 players this week. Infected is now available in multiplayer, and Nuketown is set to debut on November 1st.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched on the 25th of October and has garnered positive reception for its multiplayer and zombies modes, as well as its return to a cinematic, level-based campaign.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
