Latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition update brings AFMF 2 and more

The latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition update has arrived. The latest driver brings valuable updates, including the introduction of AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 (AFMF 2) . 

AMD Fluid Motion Frames comes integrated into AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition as part of the HYPR-RX suite of tools – a one click solution to increase frame rates.

AFMF 2 adds new optimisations and settings for a better frame generation experience, including AI-optimised enhancements for improved quality, lower latency, and better performance on integrated graphics such as the AMD Radeon 890M found in the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor.

Below you will find AMD's benchmarks showcasing the performance gains with AFMF 2 across a range of RX 7000 series graphics cards, as well as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mobile processor:

On AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics cards and AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Processors with Radeon graphics, AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 can be quickly enabled in your games by selecting the HYPR-RX profile in the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition application. Users running AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series discrete graphics can enable AFMF 2 globally in “Graphics Options”.  You also have the option to enable this and other features on a per-game basis by going through the gaming tab and selecting the desired game you want to tweak.

AMD's latest drivers also come with new tools to enhance video playback. The new Geometric Downscaling feature helps reduce visual artifacts and aliasing, allowing for smoother video quality with clearer resolution and less jagged lines.
