Assassin’s Creed Shadows reportedly getting a co-op mode post-launch

In a surprise announcement, Ubisoft recently pushed the release date for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows back by a few months into 2025. Interestingly, it seems as though the upcoming title was hiding an exciting feature in the ‘shadows’, as the game is reportedly getting a co-op mode post-launch.

As reported by known leakers Insider-Gaming, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows currently has a co-op mode in development, which is scheduled to release post-launch.”

According to the publication, the new mode is codenamed LEAGUE, and while it does not have a release window currently due to the aforementioned delay, this co-op mode was reportedly in development long before said delay – and so is not being slapped together after-the-fact to try and satiate fans.

Further details on the mode are currently light, however it is interesting to see Ubisoft bringing co-op back to the Assassin’s Creed series after so long. Hopefully we hear official word on the co-op mode – as well as everything the team is changing thanks to the delay – sooner rather than later. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
