Sonic Central showcase officially announced

2024 is a big year for Sonic the Hedgehog, with the Blue Blur returning in remastered form via the upcoming Sonic x Shadow Generations alongside the 3rd entry in the Sonic film series – set to premiere this December. With the rest of 2024 being a known quantity, SEGA is about to give Sonic fans a sneak peak on what to expect next year.

Taking to Twitter, the official Sonic the Hedgehog page announced an upcoming Sonic Central showcase, saying “Tune in for a sneak peek of some of our upcoming projects, partnerships, and events happening through 2025.”

The Sonic Central showcase will go live later today at 5PM UK Time. No length has been given for the showcase, and so it is unknown just how much we will see – and how comprehensive the reveals will be.

That said, given the fact that the last mainline 3D Sonic game released almost two years ago now, it would be about time for Team Sonic to announce their next project.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
