Indiana Jones and the Great Circle reportedly heading to PS5 next year

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is due to release later this year for Xbox and PC, but a PS5 version might be just around the corner. Recent reports now claim that the game is only going to be exclusive to Xbox for six months, with plans for a PS5 version in the first half of next year.

At Gamescom this week, Microsoft will give us the latest update on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Developed by Machine Games, we had a good long look at gameplay back in June during the Xbox Games Showcase. At that time, the game was announced as an Xbox console exclusive for 2024, although a more specific release date has yet to be revealed. We are expecting that to change within hours, as a new trailer is due to drop later today.

While the game will initially only be available on Xbox Series X/S consoles, and PC, according to Nate the Hate, one of the first leakers to reveal Microsoft's multi-platform game plans, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will follow in the footsteps of titles like Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush and Grounded as a multi-platform console game.

It is claimed that the timed exclusivity window will only last for six months, so assuming Indiana Jones lands on Xbox in December, it should be available on PS5 by the end of June next year. This lines up with an earlier report from The Verge, a site well known for its links to Microsoft insiders. Back in February, the site claimed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would be arriving on PS5 “some months” after the initial Xbox and PC launch.

KitGuru Says: At this point, there are going to be question marks surrounding every ‘exclusive' Xbox announces. In the long run though, I think this is the best move for Microsoft, as the few exclusives they've had so far have done little to move the needle for Xbox hardware sales.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
