Square Enix possibly teasing Final Fantasy XIII remake

For the past many years, Square Enix have had their hands full working on remaking the classic 1997 JRPG Final Fantasy VII. With the 3rd and final entry currently in development, the publisher appears to be looking forwards – seemingly teasing a Final Fantasy XIII Remake.

In response to one Twitter user who stated “Before any other FF title gets a remake, Final Fantasy XIII needs a remaster,” the official Square Enix account replied with: “Any reason for a remaster instead of remake?” alongside the *thinking face* emoji.

Choosing to remake FFXIII would be an interesting decision as not only is the game far more modern than FFVII, but XIII in particular was released as a trilogy.

Given the fact that FFVII Remake has been turned into a trilogy, would a remake of FFXIII require 9 games to tell its story? We will likely have to wait until the FFVII finale is released to find out.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this tease? Would you want a remake for FFXIII? If not, which entry would you prefer to see remade? Let us know down below.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
