Noctua’s NH-D12L is now available in all-black

As excellent as Noctua's fans and coolers are, there are some who just don't jive with the brown and beige colour scheme. Fortunately, chromax.black options are available for a stealthier, more modern look. This week, Noctua is launching its new all-black version of the NH-D12L.

The NH-D12L chromax.black aims to provide silent cooling while maintaining compatibility with most computer cases. It is identical to the award-winning standard model in terms of design and features, with the only difference being the colour. The chromax.black version has a black-coated heatsink, black fan with black anti-vibration pads, black fan clips, and black mounting components.

Despite its low-profile design, the NH-D12L chromax.black should perform better than many full-height 120mm coolers. It has a five heatpipe dual-tower architecture and an NF-A12x25r 120mm fan to cool the heatsink without excessive noise. Its asymmetrical fin stacks and single-fan layout ensure 100% compatibility with AMD AM5/AM4 and Intel LGA1851/1700/1200 while remaining clear of the memory slots.

At just 145mm in height, the NH-D12L chromax.black is well suited for a wide range of PC cases. It comes with some Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound, the SecuFirm2 mounting mechanism, and a 6-year manufacturer's warranty. The NH-D12L chromax.black is available now with a manufacturer's recommended retail price of €109.90/$99.90.

KitGuru says: Although pricey, it will be hard for you to find such a good-looking and compact CPU air cooler that performs as well as this one.
