Cat Quest II is free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, those with an Epic Games Store account are privy to a number of titles for free. Right now, account owners can get their hands on the 3rd entry in the tower defense series Orcs Must Die! as well as the surpurrr-isingly excellent open-world action-RPG Cat Quest II.

Available to add to your library for free from now until the 9th of May, all those with an Epic Games account can get their hands on:

  • Orcs Must Die! 3
  • Cat Quest II

Orcs Must Die! 3 is the latest entry in the strategic tower defense series in which you (and co-op buddy) must “arm yourself with a massive arsenal of traps and weapons” in order to keep the horde of orcs at bay.

Fans of the tower defense genre are undoubtedly familiar with Orcs Must Die!, but even those who are new will find plenty to enjoy.

Cat Quest II is an underrated 2D open world action-RPG where you (and once again, optionally a friend) will “quest in a world filled with magic, defeat monsters and collect loot in a catventure like never before!” With Cat Quest III set to arrive later this year, now is as good a time as any to get into the series.

Both Cat Quest II and Orcs Must Die! 3 will be available to add to your library up until the 9th of May, at which point they will be replaced by Circus Electrique and a bundle for the online Idle RPG Firestone.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
