Xbox reportedly set to reveal next Gears of War in June

Recently, new rumours have surfaced claiming that Xbox studio, The Coalition, is ramping up to reveal the next Gears of War game. Now, it would seem that those involved in the series are putting out some teasers of their own.

Liam McIntyre, the voice actor who plays the role of JD Fenix in Gears of War 4 and 5, has responded to fan questions on Twitter asking about the next Gears game. His responds feeds right into recent rumours, claiming that official news should be coming in June.

This lines up with recent claims from multiple sources, all of which said that Microsoft will unveil the next Gears of War game at its Xbox Summer Showcase this year. Of course, this wouldn't be the first time that a rumour like this has popped up.

Previous Gears of War rumours have pointed to the existence of a remastered collection of the original Xbox 360-era games, but nothing ever came to fruition. With that said, The Coalition has been confirmed to be working on the next Gears game and has been busy with it since 2020.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
