We might be getting our first look at the Splinter Cell Remake soon

Earlier this week, Ubisoft announced plans for its next summer showcase. We are already expecting to see updates for titles like Star Wars Outlaws, XDefiant, Assassin's Creed Red and Prince of Persia, but it would seem that Splinter Cell fans now also have reason to be excited.

Ubisoft Forward, the publisher's yearly summer game announcement event, is taking place on the 10th of June. Ubisoft Toronto, the studio currently working on the Splinter Cell remake, has also updated its social media profiles with Splinter Cell branding, indicating that announcements are due to be made soon.

The Splinter Cell remake was announced several years ago at this point, but unlike the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake, there have been no reports of troubled development or internal reboots.

If Ubisoft Toronto is gearing up to finally show the game this year, then it could be much further along in development than expected.

KitGuru Says: I've been a life-long fan of Splinter Cell, so I'm very much on the hopeful fan side when it comes to this remake. If the first game goes well, would you like to see the other classic Splinter Cell games remade too?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
