Sea of Thieves’ 12th, 13th and 14th Seasons all detailed

Sea of Thieves will be one of the first titles from Xbox Games Studios to come to PlayStation – following in the footsteps of Pentiment and most-recently Hi-Fi RUSH. Ahead of this, the team at Rare have shared some of their plans for the game’s next 3 Seasons worth of content.

As part of the game’s Sea of Thieves 20243 preview event, the team at Rare offered insight into many of their upcoming plans. The game’s next major update with Season 12 will introduce a bunch of new and neat features, including:

  • Throwing Knives
  • Double Shot Pistol
  • Scattershot cannonball
  • Bone Caller throwable
  • Wind Caller consumable equipment
  • Ziplines
  • Harpoons which can be walked/zipped across

Following this will be Season 13, adding:

  • New World event which rewards players with a unique ship
  • New treasure
  • Skeleton camps with puzzles and loot

Finally, Season 14 will once again double down on adding new mechanics, including:

  • Stealth overhaul with crouching, hanging off ships, disguises and more
  • Blow darts for distraction purposes
  • Throwable traps
  • Grapple gun

Sea of Thieves is one of the few games which seem to offer fundamental gameplay changes and improvements as part of their post-launch support. Hopefully all these updates will give PS5 players plenty to sink their teeth into.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
